Using the spice itself is a great option but it is difficult to get the full potential from turmeric by only adding it to your foods as a spice. Especially if you are dealing with any inflammatory issues, taking a supplement can be a great idea. It may seem strange if you have not tried it but there are some delicious drinks that you can make with turmeric. Every morning I start my day with warm lemon water, where I also add some organic turmeric powder and honey, and sometimes some apple cider vinegar. This is a perfect way to wake up your body systems. Traveling through Bali and Thailand I had some of the best iced turmeric lemonades as well as boosting shots.

 Morning Water:

1/2 lemon squeezed and slices

1-2 teaspoons turmeric powder (use fresh root or powder is ok too)

1 drop of honey

4. Put it on

You may also start to find many beauty products that contain this magical root, from face masks, to body washes and more. It contains healing properties that can be great for your skin as well, plus natural is always better. The anti-bacterial properties can help to detox and clarify the skin. It can also assist in healing scars, wounds and help with anti-aging. Turmeric can also help to soothe skin that is dry, including such issues as psoriasis.
